Frequently Asked Questions
  • Where is the meeting place?
    At the Track. Auto Club Speedway, 9300 Cherry Avenue, Fontana. The quarter-mile Auto Club Dragway is located on  the North side of the facility.
  • How will the Track let me in?
    Let the person at the gate know whether you are a participant or a spectator. He/she will let you know where to line up for Tech Inspection, or park your vehicle.
  • Can I register or sign up at the track?
    No, pre-registration is required. Nobody will be allowed to sign up or register during the event.
  • Are spectators allowed?
    Spectator is free with a paid registrant. Since this is a “private” track rental, it is not open to the public. It is limited to friends, family or crew members of the participants. The Track Manager wants us to limit it to 1 spectator or crew per participant.  Everyone must be at least 18 years of age. Spectator or crew will need to park their vehicle in the designated "Spectator Parking" area.
  • What if we don’t make the minimum limit of cars, or if it rains?
    The event will be canceled or moved to a later date. If the event is canceled, you will receive a refund. If the event is moved to a later date, you will receive an email notification, and the new date will be at least a month in advance.
  • Are multiple drivers or vehicles allowed?
    No, you can only drive the vehicle you're Tech'd in. If you want another person to drive your vehicle, you will need to register that driver to drive your vehicle. Auto Club Dragway requires a tech card for each driver, driving the same vehicle. All drivers must acquire a wrist band, and sign a waiver at the track. Same rules apply if you want to drive another vehicle, one tech card per driver or vehicle.
  • Can I move my reservation to the next event?
    Yes, only if the next event date have been confirmed (i.e. NOT a tentative date). Also, the request must be submitted via email to sales@alternativemotoring.com at least 10 days prior to the event date you initially signed up for. Once your reservation have been moved, there will be no refund, and it can only be moved once.
  • What if I can’t make it, can someone else fill my spot?
    Yes, you can have someone else fill your spot. You will need to submit an email to sales@alternativemotoring.com with the full name and vehicle year/make/model of the person filling your spot. Your request for any changes (i.e. driver / vehicle substitution) must be received no later than 1 day before the event date.
  • What are the requirements to run at the track?
    You must comply with the Track and NHRA rules. You can contact NHRA Tech line at 626-914-4761.
  • Is nitrous or race gas available?
    Someone may be selling race fuel or nitrous, please check with the person at the sign-in or tech booth.
